The Wushu Shaolin Entertainment Dragon Dance Team is renowned, being featured on numerous commercials, television programs, and print add media.   The Dragon Dance team was recently involved in the Karma Music Video Shoot, directed by Mark Staubach, a noteworthy film maker whose credits include amazing artists and actors such as Travie McCoy, Bruno Mars, Pete Wentz, Lupe Clasco, Simple Plan, Caleb Johnson, Nikki Reed, Nate – Alex Wolff, and Debbie Ryan.   Mark first started his career in entertainment as an actor, and is known for his brief appearance in Steven Spielberg’s “Artificial Intelligence:.  Since then he has been responsible for overseeing over one hundred and fifty productions before transitioning into a director.

It was a pleasure working on the new Julian Perretta Music Video for the song entitled Karma, shot in Chinatown’s Central Plaza near downtown Los Angeles, California.  The video is a very compelling work of art incorporating the historic Chinatown Central Plaza that serves as a source of cultural pride for both international tourists, China, and America alike. This unique place has a long history that mystifies, inspires, and educates humanity in a ever so beautiful way.

Julian Remo Perretta was born on January 13th of 1989 in England. He is best known for his songs “Miracle” and “Wonder Why”.  Perretta was born in London to an Italian father and an Irish mother. He released a single from his second album Karma on November 13th of 2015 entitled Miracle and the song became his biggest solo hit to date, selling over 1.2 million copies and reaching number one in 14 countries.

The Chinese Lion Dance performance at Cal State Los Angeles was an enormous success this year. Members of the Wushu Shaolin Entertainment lion dance team attended this years event in order to show support for the Chinese Student body.  It was a great opportunity to demonstrate the rich multicultural diversity present in both Los Angeles and on the California State University Los Angeles campus. This years event featured a traditional Chinese Yellow and Red Lion Dance Costume and a large traditional percussion drum.

Students are always filled with joy upon experiencing the traditional Chinese Lion Dance. Many of them are unaware of the performance and often think it is a Dragon Costume, since both costumes are very similar.

The performance was a mesmerizing experience for all of the students, faculty, and employees, many of which never experienced a traditional Chinese Lion Dance. Everyone was filled with enormous joy, since the performance is highly interactive and free flowing. Many students and faculty began filming the Lion Dancers as they paraded around the campus interacting and playing with the students. For many of them, it was their first time seeing the performance and were very interested in how the costume operated.

The Lion Dancers very often interact with students and faculty working to evoke smiles and joy from everyone. It is a very delightful experience for all people.

The event was a sensational surprise, as the Chinese Lion Costumes greeted many of the students bringing good luck and prosperity to all.  The Chinese traditional Lion Dance is revered for promoting good luck and prosperity for everyone. The presentation was a unique experience featuring a new Lion Dance costume combined with unique Chinese cultural artistry. There is nothing more compelling than inspiring humanity to develop the courage of a lion and accomplish great success in life. For countless generations the Lion Dance has served as a symbol of courage and hope for all.
